STAWELL
Magdala Motor Lodge
Magdala Motor Lodge is 4km from the centre of Stawell and 15km from Halls Gap. Set back from the Western Highway, this lodge makes a quiet rural haven. With loads of wildlife and the majestic River Red Gum trees surrounding your views. The lodge also boats a fully licensed restaurant, indoor heated pool and spa. Walk alongside the lake on the 800m walking track, or play on the tennis court. There are conference and meeting room facilities.
Comfort Inn Goldfields
Comfort Inn Goldfields is located in the historic gold-producing town of Stawell. About 15 minutes from Halls Gap and Grampians National Park. Vine Lodge Homestead at Seppelt Winery
Fancy staying somewhere historic? Vine Lodge is a homestead on the grounds of Seppelt Winery. It has hosted a number of dignitaries including Mark Twain, Dame Nelly Melba and Australia’s first Governor General, Lord Hopetoun. This place was originally built in the 1800s and has not lost any of its beauty or charm. It accommodates seven guests with its three bedrooms and had ample room for visitors to wander through its well-manicured grounds.
Best’s Cottage (Seppelt)
Best’s Cottage is part of the historic Seppelt Winery precinct. It’s the original 1860s home of Best’s Wines family member Joseph Best. The cottage adjoins the magnificent Vine Lodge and the historic Seppelt Winery and Underground Drives. The cottage has a kitchenette, with toaster, microwave and kettle, but does not feature a cooking facility. A barbecue and shared bathroom are provided. The cottage is close to the Grampians National Park. Best’s Cottage is located in the centre of the Grampians wine region with great views of the surrounding vineyards.
Salingers
This historic cottage is situated right next door to Salingers Café. Which makes for a handy stop-in for lunch and dinner (don’t miss the chicken and leek pie!). Friendly staff at the cafe will answer any questions guests may have about the accommodation or the local area. The cottage itself is very spacious and makes a great option for families or a group of friends travelling together.
DUNKELD
Royal Mail Hotel
The Royal Mail Hotel in Dunkeld is a local institution. Located only a one-hours drive from Best’s with a glorious kitchen garden and variously sized hotel rooms. Ranging from simply furnished garden rooms, through to deluxe mountain view rooms. Self-contained apartments that take advantage of the stunning natural surroundings. Mt Sturgeon Homestead, located on a nearby working sheep farm. Is a six-bedroom accommodation option available through the Royal Mail Hotel with adjoining stone cottages that showcase region’s history. Don’t forget to book your dinner at Royal Mail.
