With our first beginnings in 1866, Best’s Wines Great Western boasts a historic collection of Australia’s oldest and most significant vineyards. For more than 150 years, we’ve been proudly producing world-class wines in Victoria’s Great Western region.

Our flagship wine, the Thomson Family Shiraz, has an ‘Exceptional’ designation from the esteemed Langton’s Classification of Australian Wine and Bin No. O Shiraz is rated as ‘Outstanding’

 We’re thrilled to see two of our finest in the 8^th edition (2024) of Langton’s Classifaication of wine, our Thomson Family Shiraz was named in the First Classified, and Bin No. 0 Shiraz was included as Classified.

Best’s has thrived under the stewardship of just two families since 1866. The founding Best family established the original Concongella Vineyard and today, their vision lives on through our family, the Thomson’s, having purchased the property in 1920.
