2020 Bin No. 0 Shiraz
TASTING NOTES
Colour: A deep intense garnet with ruby hues.
Bouquet: Pronounced aroma of dark fruits, with cracked pepper spice, and mocha richness.
Palate: A complex palate of plum, sour cherry and blackcurrants coupled with a spicy mid- palate of black pepper, dried herb and aniseed. This wine has great length finishing with fine melting tannins with medium acidity.
Pairing: Simplicity with this wine is key. Pair with a medium rare steak seasoned with salt, pepper and a lick of hot English mustard. The delicate balance of a pototoe Massaman curry will be a great match as well.
Cellaring: This wine can cellar easily for up to 20 years.
Vintage: A hot and dry growing season meant the vines ripened quickly and crops were lower than average. Sufficient water supply ensured the grapevines remained in good health and a cool February ensured all the natural acidity was retained at harvest. The grapes had bundles of concentrated flavour and lots of vibrant acidity.

REVIEWS
James Suckling – Ned Goodwin MW, June 2023
Nostalgic aromas of the Aussie bush, with a core of sweet cherries doused with cloves and cardamon. Smoked charcuterie too. Loosely knit and already drinkable, this is a plump, fuller weighted shiraz of impact and immediacy. Drink or hold. Rating: 93 points
Halliday Wine Companion 2023 – Jeni Port, August 2022
Best’s celebrates old vines. Bin 0 is a case in point, with vines dating back to 1868 employed here to produce a stunning and elegant beauty. Bin 0’s signature black fruits, woody spice and violets are concentrated and deep, followed by velvety tannins that effortlessly glide over the tongue. Quite a powerful combination. Rating: Gold 96 points
