2021 Cabernet Franc
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Dark Purple Hue
Bouquet: Uplifted bunchy blue fruits and spices
Palate: Primary fruits on cherry cola paired with brambly savory notes, coupled with jalepeno chilli spice and baked red earth. Mid palate of savory dried herbs and spice that finishes with a delicious sweet velvety mouth feel.
Cellaring: Ready to drink now, or cellar for 7-10 years.
Pairing: Perfect to be paired with wood fired pizza: potato, rosemary and garlic or some grilled chorizo. Eggplant lasagne with a bechamel sauce if you are looking for a bigger meal option.
Vintage: An excellent season with near perfect growing conditions right through to harvest. Adequate winter and spring rainfalls set the wines up to burst into life and sustain beautifully balanced growth throughout the summer. Autumn was ideal with little rainfall and warm conditions to ensure the grapes matured gracefully.
