2022 Nursery Block Dry Red
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Deep intense red colour, with a purple hue.
Bouquet: An expressive nose of blackcurrant, plum, and cracked pepper and spice.
Palate: This medium bodied wine shows primary red fruit notes of raspberry and cherry. The mid-palate is savoury with black pepper, and liquorice. The wine finishes with subtle tannins and lingering flavour.
Cellaring: Good to drink in the short term but it should age well for 10 years or more.
Pairing: Best paired with Venison.
Vintage: Vintage 2022 began with a very cool spring, misty conditions and low hanging fog. Fruit flowering took some time due to the cooler conditions which is typical for the region after a larger vintage in 2021. Low crops resulted in high concentration of flavour throughout the Concongella Vineyards.
