2022 Concongella Blanc
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Medium intensity white gold in colour.
Bouquet: An obvious nose of fruits including apple, pear, and apricot. Richer aromas of honey suckle, coupled with flinty complexity.
Palate: Up front there are ripe flavours of melon, pear, apricot and apple skin, with some lovely baking spices on the mid-palate. The green apple acidity keeps this wine fresh and vibrant.
Pairing: Delicious served with a creamy pasta dish like spaghetti carbonara.
Vintage: A challenging vintage with spring storms bringing sporadic weather which lead to lower-than-average fruit set. Optimum Summer and Autumn seasons ensued with warm days and cool nights which allowed for a long ripening season. Lighter crop which in turn produced more concentrated aromas and flavours.
