2021 Nursery Block Dry Red
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Translucent garnet with a purple hue.
Bouquet: A pretty nose of wild roses, strawberries, blackcurrants and five spice.
Palate: This mid weight wine has a plush and tangy core of ripe red and blue fruits. This finish is soft and savoury.
Cellaring: Good to drink in the short term but it should age well for 10 years or more.
Pairing: Try it with Salmon Gravalax, Peking duck or candied pork with a cherry, orange and fennel seed glaze.
Vintage: An excellent season with near perfect growing conditions right through to harvest. Adequate winter and spring rainfalls set the wines up to burst into life and sustain beautifully balanced growth throughout the summer. Autumn was ideal with little rainfall and warm conditions to ensure the grapes matured gracefully.
